On every project Werner must first and foremost understand the customer’s needs, dreams, expectations, fears, and objectives. He confirms that the way their requirements are explained are accurate to ensure the project’s digital communications capabilities are on the right track.
A great result for him as facilitator is to structure the project journey and build and motivate a team to continue to deliver, even when things get tough. He brings this considerable digital insight and a strong background in facilitation to his work with 460degrees.
Werner started in digital communications in 1996, first working as a software developer specialising in Oracle Development (OCP). In 1999 he worked with Accenture South Africa as an Application Programmer and then Senior Systems Analyst across Utilities, Retail, Energy and Petroleum, FMCG and Distribution.
In 2008, Werner joined Telkom SA, the largest ICT organisation in South Africa. He worked as Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager, and also became a Certified Scrum Master. In 2017 he moved to BCX – Technology as Senior ICT Consultant, working as facilitator and senior consultant for all major projects within their e-commerce space, and completing his PMP during this time. He joined 460degrees in 2020 as Business Analyst and Project Manager.
Werner is a staunch family man, and when not at work spends most of his time with his wife and three children. He loves swimming and playing golf, as well as hiking, travel, and sightseeing. He loves watching movies with his wife, and “a lot of chocolate!”
